Country House, early C19. Red brick with hipped slate roof. Two and three
storeys. Symmetrical east facade of seven bays, centre advanced by one bay
and pedimented, with Doric angle pilasters at first floor level. Pediment
surmounted by octagonal cupola with lead covered dome. Central door and first
floor window have canopies on console brackets. Stuccoed plat-band at first
floor level. Stuccoed and moulded eaves cornice. Large end stacks on north
and south walls; two stacks on ridge line. Three-storey gabled cross wing
on west side. C20 canted porch. C16 wing to south-west demolished in 1950's.
