Farmhouse, mid C18, refronted in Cl9. Built of red brick with glazed headers
and black pantiled roof. 'L' shaped plan of 2 storeys and attics. Single storey
extensions to south and east. 5 windowed facade to road with central double
6 panel door. Timber doorcase with panelled reveals, fluted pilasters,
entablature and projecting cornice. Sash windows with glazing bars and
segmental brick arches. Parapet gables with end stack to west and off centre
axial stack to east. Corbelled brick eaves. Eaves level platband and gable
tie irons. Attached garden wall to south with brick on edge coping. Attached
garden wall to north with gateway, enclosing north forecourt. Datestone on
east and west gables, with monogram H.E.S. and date 1771. Fire plaque on east
gable.
