Pair of estate cottages. Late C19, built of red brick with gault brick
dressings and thatched roof. Cruciform plan with 2 storeyed porch. 1½ storeys.
Facade to road has gabled porch and cross wing gable separated by flank wall
with gabled dormer. One window on each bay. Porch entrance formed with stone
lintel on corbel blocks with brick hood mould. Boarded door inside. 2 and
3-light casement windows, with decorated frames, glazing bars, and brick
hood moulds. Parapet gables with brick kneelers. Central axial stack formed
from 4 square shafts, and end stack at north end. V.W. monogram over entrance
doors for Vade-Walpole. Included for group value.
