Windpump, C19 with tarred brick tower and boat shaped weatherboarded cap.
Tapering circular tower of 4 storeys. Tower reinforced by wrought iron bands.
Opposing entrances on ground floor, one window at first floor, and one at
cap floor level with segmental brick arches. Cap frame with sheers, tail beam,
sprattle beam, head stock and weatherbeam. Track and gear intact. Cast iron
windshaft and brake arm. Cast iron horizontal drive shaft to scoop wheel with
wooden starts and floats. Example of a cap with tail pole adapted for fan
winding.
