TG 12 NE BLICKLING THE FARMYARD

4/18 L-shaped range of
Barns immediately
south-east of
Blickling Hall

GV II

Pair of barns, now estate workshop, village hall and public toilets. C17
and later, much altered and sub-divided. Red brick, steeply-pitched pantiled
roofs. One storey, L-shaped on plan. Dutch gables to west and south,
pediment missing from south gable. Openings much altered and re-arranged:
south wall of western range has three inserted windows with glazing bars.
Semicircular-headed door opening with fanlight and pair of boarded doors.
Large waggon-entrance doorway to right; three plain brick pilasters.
Catslide roof over extension on north-west corner. South range has C20
fenestration and door openings; C20 staged buttresses with tile copings.
