Former house, now office. Early C17, block parallel to and away from
street-line, heightened and extended towards the street in the C18.
1743 on rainwater head. Red brick with flint on rear and east walls with
stone quoins. Pantile roofs. L-shape plan. East facade:- 2 storeys.
5 bays with brick Corinthian pilasters. Stone doorcase to right-side with
attached Tuscan columns, triglyph frieze and pediment. Sash windows throughout
with glazing bars and rubbed brick flat arches. Parapet. North facade:-
2 storeys. 2 bays with pilasters. Sash windows with glazing bars and rubbed
brick flat arches. Parapet. Interior:- Finely carved staircase, door and
fireplace surrounds. Strapwork plaster ceiling in north ground floor room.
C17 stair turret to rear of south block.
