Former house now office and flats. Mid C18 by Mathew or Robert Brettingham
with late C17 range incorporated at rear north. White brick, painted at
ground floor. Pantile roofs. U-shape plan. 3 storeys. 4 bays with centre
2 bays projecting. Single bay wings. Off-centre door with round arch
and keystone. Doors in wings:- eared moulded surround with fanlight in
right-wing. Fixed lights with glazing bars and semi-circular arches
at ground floor. Sash windows at first floor with glazing bars and
rubbed brick flat arches. Round arches and top sashes in outer central
bays. Casement windows at 2nd floor. Heavy parapet over 2 central bays
with half-pediment to left and right. Open pediment gables on wings.
Fine over-mantel with inset panel painting and plasterwork ceiling
in first floor room to No. 16.
