Sheltered Housing. 1687 on commemorative stone. Rebuilt C1869 on sparse
remains of C17 ground floor walls. Red brick and pantile roofs. 3
connecting ranges around a courtyard. 2 storeys with cast-iron first
floor balcony. 13 first-floor windows on each of the flanking sides
and 8 on the end range. 4 flats on each floor on each side all with
round-headed doors and 2-light casements with rusticated brick
surrounds. Continuous-pitch roof over balcony. C19 'Tudor' chimneys
and crow-stepped end gables. Inner balusters and newel posts of C17
staircase re-used in north-west corner.
