GV II*
Former use unknown, now shops with C15 undercroft. Shops:- C17 with C18
and C19 rear extensions. Stucco. Pantile roof. 2 storeys, first floor
jettied. 2 bays. Late C19 and C20 shopfronts with side entrances. Sash
windows with glazing bars. Bracket cornice. 2 gabled dormers. Undercroft:-
Brick. Pointed barrel-vault, parallel to street line and terminated at its
southern end by a C20 wall. One side and one end chamber. Garderobe shaft
in west wall. The semi-circular, brick stair-well survives in the north-west
corner, one of only two to remain intact in the City. The building is graded
II* because of the undercroft one of an important group with the City Walls.
