Pair of houses, now 2 offices. Early C18. Rendered plinth. Red brick;
slate roof 2 rendered gable-end chimneys. 2 storeys, attic and cellar(?).
6 first-floor windows, symmetrical. Central 2-window bay breaks forward
and has 2 part glazed doors with raised and fielded panels and Gibbs
surrounds with pediments. Panelled reveals to No. 16; flush-hung door
to No. 18 which also has a C18 recessed bow-fronted shop window with
panelled reveals, Gibbs surround and moulded hood. No. 16 has small sash
window with horns beside door and 2 large-pane sashes to left under flat
ribbed brick arches. All first-floor sash windows have glazing bars. One
inserted dormer with low-pitched roof and casements to No. 18. No. 16 has
cast iron plaques: T/SG/1777 and H/S.P/1834.
