Former office now cafe. 1899/1900. G. S. Skipper. Yellow ochre
coloured terra cotta on granite base. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys
plus attic storey. Corner site. C20 ground floor front concealing
parts of the earlier facade. 3 sash windows on the first floor
with semi-circular arches divided by octagonal shafts with stiff
leaf capitals and decorated spandrels. Blue diamond frieze below
Corinthian cornice. Dormer gable with 2 sash windows, decorated
scrolls and segmental pediment. Circular corner turret with mullion
and transome windows and dome. Square end turret with rectangular
top lights and a pagoda roof with finial. The office was built for
the Norfolk Daily Standard.
