House. Dated 1703; extended and internally remodelled in mid C19. Flemish bond
red brick with rubbed brick dressings; hipped plain tile roofs; brick ridge and
end stacks. 3-unit plan with rear stair turret extended to double-depth plan in
mid C19. 2 storeys and attic; pedimented 5-window range. Chamfered raised brick
quoins, moulded brick string course and modillioned wood cornice to eaves and
pediment; moulded brick segmental pediment with carved brackets to pilasters
flanking mid C19 bolection-panelled door with overlight set in moulded wood
architrave; rubbed brick flat arches over horned plate-glass sashes set in
moulded wood architraves; pedimented window with pilasters to window in
tympanum. Mid C19 rear wings flank early C18 gabled stair turret. Late C19
one-storey, 2-window range extension to right has pedimented central doorway.
INTERIOR: mid C19 cornicing and fireplaces; early C18 open-well staircase to
rear, with barley-surgar and column-on-vase balusters set on closed string.
