Base of garden feature. Probably late C17. Square limestone ashlar socket with
short shaft. Owned by the Winchelsea estate, in guardianship of HMBCE. Kirby
Hall is scheduled as an ancient monument. Included for group value.
(Kirby Hall garden is included in the HBMC County Register of Gardens at Grade
II*).
