Shown as Bottom Lodge on Ordnance Survey map.
Lodge house. Mid C19 for Rockingham Castle estate. Limestone ashlar with
Colleyweston slate roof. T-shape plan in Tudor style. Single storey with attic.
Main front of one-window range with 4-light stone mullion window to ground floor
and similar 3-light window to attic set in eaves dormer. C19 plank door to left
has stone surround with 4-centre head. Ashlar gable parapets and ashlar stacks
at ends have pairs of octagonal ashlar flues. Elevations to left and right are
similar with eaves dormers. Large plaque on left gable has arms of Watson
family. Interior not inspected.
