1688. 3, formerly 6, almshouses founded by Edmund Sawyer, London merchant and Lord
of the Manor. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof with stone coped side elevation
gables. 2 storeys, formerly 2 storeys and attics with 6 dormers in steeply pitched
thatched roof. 6 casement windows, ground floor double lights and stone mullions
under dripmouldings. 4 stone chimneystacks with moulded bands. 1st floor glazing
bars, ground floor lattice.
