Milestone. Probably mid C19. Limestone ashlar. Rectangular stone with moulded
cornice, formerly surmounted by a ball finial. Inscription "Clay Coton 1/2,
Yelvertoft (SE) 2, West Haddon 5, NORTHAHPTON 15 1/2, Crick 3 1/2, Daventry 10
1/2." Erected adjacent to Stanford-on-Avon parish boundary. Forms a pair with
milestone at SP 5940 7789 (q.v.) and similar to milestones at SP 6170 7813 and
SP 6168 7814, Stanford-on-Avon Road, Elkington (q.v.).
