1337-0/4/243 Statue of Aeneas leaving Troy,
c.100m SE of Glendon Hall

Statue group. Stone. C17. Representing Aeneas carrying his
father Anchises out of Troy, accompanied by his son Ascanius
on tall pedestal with plinth, cornice, moulded panels and
semi-circular ends decorated with swags. Probably originally
sited at Boughton House, Weekley C.P. (q.v.) and brought here
in C19.
