Shown as Far Provost Lodge on Ordnance Survey map.
House. Late C17/early C18 and mid C18 restored C20. Squared coursed limestone
with ashlar dressings and Collyweston slate roof. Originally probably one-unit
plan, now L-shape. Single-storey with attic and cellar. One-window range with
C19 casement, under wood lintel, to left. Similar casement set in hipped eaves
dormer, to attic. Plank door to right under wood lintel. Ashlar quoins and
ashlar gable parapets and stone stack at end. Brick and stone lateral stack to
rear. Similar windows to right gable under wood and concrete lintels. Mid C18
wing to rear has C20 single-storey extensions. Interior: room to left of
entrance has open fireplace with bressumer and rear fire window. Remains of open
fireplace in kitchen, to rear. Dog leg stair and original stud walls at first
floor. Said to have been a drovers lodging house.
