House. Probably mid C18, early and mid C19. Squared coursed limestone with
concrete tile roof. Originally probably 2-unit plan, then 3 units. 2 storeys.
4-window range of sash windows, with glazing bars, under wood lintels; window to
first floor left of centre is blocked. Large casement window, with glazing bars,
to ground floor right was originally a shop window. C20 door, under wood lintel,
to left of centre and 6-panel door to right under wood lintel. Ashlar gable
parapet to right. Ashlar ridge and end stacks, with moulded cornices, and one
brick end stack. Straight joint to centre, 2 bays to right probably early C19.
Mid C19, one-unit, 2-storey extension to left. Interior: centre room has
stop-chamfered spine beam with stops repeated at centre. Open fireplace with
bressumer is partly blocked. Included for group value.
