Farmhouse. Early/mid C18. Squared coursed ironstone with limestone dressing, and
brick with thatch, slate and pantile roof. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys.
3-window range of C19 style casements under wood lintels. First floor windows
are under eyebrow dormers. Central C20 door under wood lintel. Aslar gable
parapets and brick and ashlar stacks at ends. One-unit C19 brick extension to
right, with lean-to to far right, has C19 style casements and plank door. C19
one-bay stone extension to left has C20 concrete tile roof, small extension to
rear has slate roof. Interior not inspected but noted as having remains of open
fireplace. Originally probably a lodge in Brigstock Park.
