House, now office. Mid C18 with early C20 alterations. Ironstone ashlar with
original plain-tile roof to front and slate roof to rear. Originally 2-unit
plan. 2 storeys with attic. 5-window range. Pair of central part-glazed doors
have arched hood, with shell moulding over. Entrance is flanked by C17 style
wood casements with dentilled cornice and leaded lights. First floor windows are
sash with glazing bars and segmental arch heads with keyblocks. Moulded stone
cornice and gable parapets with kneelers. Brick stack at ridge and end. Ground
floor fenestration and interior is early C20. Forms one of a pair of C18
semi-detached houses with No.2 Burystead Place (q.v.).
