The East front consists of 2 buildings. The South range is 3 storeyed, early
C18 ashlar with a moulded and modillioned cornice at the 2nd floor. Balustraded
parapet which is continuous with the north range. In the 1st floor are 5 sash
windows in moulded stone keystoned frames with scroll bracketed cills. Above
the cornice in the 2nd floor are 3 sash windows in similar frames. The North
range is new or rebuilt. 2-storeyed ironstone ashlar with a projecting porch
and a low 2-storeyed wing on the north again. The porch has Doric style side
angle caps and a broken pediment to the doorway; the gable of the porch is curved
and has a moulded scrolled panel in it. The sash windows have moulded stone
frames with segmental pediments and pulvinated friezes. The ironstone front
gate piers to this range have ball finials. Interior - The fittings of the
south range are mostly modern but the 1st floor rooms in front are said to have
some C18 white-painted panelling. The sash windows here are C18-19.
At the back, exterior, on the south-west is a modern 2-storeyed connected block
with 4 sash windows and a Welsh slate hipped roof.
