11/49 The Old Bakehouse

GV II

House. C18. Formerly row of cottages, now one dwelling. Coursed ironstone and
limestone rubble, slate roof, brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Doorway
in second bay from left has wood lintel, plank door and gabled timber hood on
brackets. 3-light casement window with wood lintel in left bay. Similar window
to right of entrance and in right bay. 2-light casement window with wood lintel
in second bay from right. One-light casement window with wood lintel in right
bay on first floor. Other first floor windows have 3-light casements with wood
lintels. Wing extending from right side along High Street, C18, similar
materials, 2 storeys, 3 bays has one-light window in left bay on first floor.
Other windows C20 with concrete lintels. Interior not inspected. Included for
group value.
