9/143 The Old Vicarage

GV II

House. c.1700, altered late C18. Squared coursed ironstone and coursed rubble,
slate roof, flanking stone stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays. Central
porch with straight moulded entablature and cast iron Tuscan columns. Inner
doorway has panelled reveals and C20 half-glazed door. Sash windows on either
side with stone lintels. Sash window on first floor with wood lintels. Coped
gable ends with kneelers. Hipped roof of rear wing adjoins ridge of main roof to
left of centre. Interior not inspected.
