Rectory now house. c.1680 with C18 and early C19 additions. Lias ashlar with
slate roof. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys, 5-window range. Garden front has
French casements at ground floor with glazing bars and stone lintels. First and
second floors have sash windows with glazing bars, reducing at third floor all
with stone lintels. Large central casement at first floor. Flat string course
between storeys and rusticated qouins at corners. Hipped roof with overhanging
soffit and large brick stacks. Left side elevation has C17 moulded stone window
surrounds with mullion and transom stubs. Elevation to road similar; central
glazed door having a rusticated surround with rusticated pilasters extending
around central first floor window. C17 two-light stone mullioned windows at
basement level. Interior: Central hall with 4 moulded pilasters supporting a
quadripartite vault. Early C19 staircase has cut spandrels and outward curving
balustrade. 6-panelled doors and moulded cornice to Dining and Drawing Rooms.
