House. Late C17. Coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, squared limestone
quoins, asbestos tile roof, brick stacks. Lobby-entry plan. 2 storeys, attic and
cellar, 3 bays. One-light cellar window in left bay and 2-light window with
stone mullion to right. Doorway in second bay from left has wood lintel and
4-panel door, part glazed. Blocked window with wood lintel to left. 2-light
window in left bay with original moulded wood lintel and C20 wood mullion and
transom. Similar window in right bay. 2-light windows on first floor with
original moulded wood lintels and C20 wood casements. Coped gable ends with
kneelers, flanking stacks, ridge stack to left of centre. Extension to right
C20, incorporating former dairy and outbuildings. Interior: Original winder
stairs to left of entrance. Small room with stud partition opposite entrance
said to be former larder. Open fireplace with bread oven.
