5/129 Trafford Bridge Farmhouse

House. Mid C18. Squared coursed ironstone; stone slate and slate roofs, stone
stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys, attic and cellar, 3 bays. Central doorway with wood
lintel. 6-panel, part-glazed door under flat wooden hood. All windows have stone
lintels with keystones and 3-light wood casements. 2 dormers with moulded wood
lintels and 2-light old iron casements with leaded panes. Right gable has stone
coping with kneelers. On left side, blocked central doorway with deeply carved
Chauncy arms above. Rear wing, early C18, similar materials. 2 storeys and
attic, 2 bays with coped gable end on kneelers. Interior: Stop chamfered main
beams in ground floor rooms. Original winder staircase. One of the Edgcote
Estate farmhouses similar in style and date to Wardington Gate Farmhouse (q.v.).
