House, formerly shop and carter's. Dated 1703. Coursed limestone rubble and
coursed squared ironstone and limestone, ridged tiles and shingle roofs, brick
ridge stack on stone base. 4-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 6-window range. C20
garage and porch to left, C20 4-light casement to right of porch with C20 timber
lintel, chamfered lintel above of former cart entrance, central straight joint,
3-light casement windows with timber lintels to ground floor, 2- and 3-light C20
casements to first floor. Stone-coped gable to right. Datestone inscribed
B/IE/1703 in right gable. C20 single-storey extension to rear. Interior has open
fireplace with chamfered bressumer and blocked 2-light wood mullion window to
rear, now internal. Included for group value.
