Pair of cottages. Late C18, altered C19. Rendered over brick and stone, right
end wall of coursed squared ironstone and limestone, slate roof, brick ridge and
end stacks. Both have 2-unit plans. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. C20
doors to left and right of centre. 2-light casement windows to No.5, C19 sash
windows to No.3. Interior: No.5 has stop-chamfered spine beam and open fireplace
with chamfered bressumer. Formerly thatched.
