Stable block and coach house. Dated 1670, largely rebuilt mid C19. Coursed
squared ironstone, old plain-tile roof. Central gabled projection has
double-leaf coach-house doors with segmental-arched head and hood mould,
clock-face above in trefoiled stone surround, diagonal buttresses, stone-coped
gable with kneelers and bell-cote to gable. Stables either side are symmetrical
and have plank stable doors to left and right, with overlights, 2-light
hollow-chaaferad stone mullion windows between doors and 1-light windows with
chamfered stone jamb and wood lintels to far right and far left. Datestone in
right gable inscribed P/SE/1670. 9-bay bolted collar-truss roof. Included for
group value.
