Public House. Late C17 with C19 and C20 additions and alterations. Coursed
squared ironstone, plain-tile roof with ornamental tile ridges, brick end
stacks. 3-unit plan 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central C19 door with
4-centred head in C19 gabled porch, a 3-light casement window to left with stone
surround and hood mould of former stone mullion window, 3-light ovolo-moulded
stone mullion window to right with hood mould, and similar 2-light windows to
1st floor with hood moulds. Gabled dormer windows with similar 2-light windows.
Quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers, 2-storey C19 extension to right and
further C20 extension in front. Interior has chamfered spine beams and open
fireplace with chamfered bressumer.
