GV II

Farmhouse, formerly hunting lodge. C16 with C18 and C19 alterations. Coursed
squared limestone and ironstone, plain-tile roofs and brick end and ridge
stacks. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. T plan. Central panel door in C19
porch with lean-to roof. 3-light wood mullion and transom windows to ground and
1st floors with wood lintels. Blocked window above porch. Chamfered plinth. Wing
to rear has similar windows. Massive end stacks of thin red brick with flared
header diaper patterns and tall thin rectangular brick flues. C20 extension to
rear right. Interior has chamfered spine beams, open fireplace with chamfered
bressumer and parts of ovolo-moulded wood mullion and transom windows now
internal (staircase hall).
