House, formerly farmhouse. Probably C16, altered C20. Coursed limestone rubble,
thatch roof, stone end stacks. T plan. 2-storey, 3-window range. Central plank
door with Tudor-arched wood surround and wood lintel in C20 glazed porch. Small
1-light window to ground floor far right with pointed arched stone surround and
wood lintel above. 3-light leaded hollow-chamfered stone mullion windows, to
ground floor left and right of door with hood moulds. Similar windows to lst
floor, but with arched heads to lights, cut spandrels, and moulded stone jambs
in eyebrow dormers. Offset buttress to left angle, ironstone quoins and
stone-coped gable with kneelers to left end only. Wing projects to rear right of
centre with 2-light stone mullion windows, some with arched head to lights.
Interior has chamfered spine beams, open fireplace with bressumer beam and
collar truss roof. Possibly a fragment of the larger house which formerly stood
on this site or a new house built of its materials.
