GV II

House. 1790. Ashlar with graduated Lakeland slate roof. 2 storeys. 5 x 5 bays
with service wing to rear. 4 steps up to central Venetian doorway set in arched
recess. Venetian window above has intersecting glazing bars. 12-pane. sashes
elsewhere.

Ground and 1st floor sill bands and broader band between the floors.

Pediment over centre bay.

Hipped roof with corniced ridge stacks.

Interior has open-well stairs with wrought-iron balustrade. 6-panelled doors
and shutters. Good late C18 cornices and ceiling roses. Several late C18
fireplaces with carved friezes and Corinthian columns.
