Headstone, 1799. Sandstone. Relief-carved top panel with anchor, rope,
trumpet, arrow and scythe, flanked by shipwreck scenes. Inscription 'To
the Memory of Geo. Brown of Bedlington Master Mariner who on the 5th of AP;
1799 was wreck'd on this Coast aged 46 years.

In spite of both by Gods decree
I Harbour here below
Now here at Anchor I do lie
