NU 02 NW CHATTON FOWBERRY MAINS

4/25 Fowberry Mains Farmhouse

GV 11

Farmhouse. Late C18 or early C19, added to and altered 1840-50. Dressed stone
with ashlar in later parts. Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys. 4 bays, 1:1:2. Second
bay from left projects. The main block is largely early C19 but given ridged
coping, prominent kneelers and new window surrounds in c1840-50 when left bay,
gabled one-bay projection and square porch with Tudor-arched doorway were added.
12-pane sashes, most original. Stone corniced ridge stacks.
