17/47 Garden wall to West of
Chillingham Castle

GV 11

Garden wall. Early C19 dressed stone with random rubble, possibly medieval
sections. Steeply ridged coping stones with roll-moulded top. Embattled. Two
C19 doorways with Tudor arches. Square tower at right corner and older masonry
on right return with chamfered, round-arched carriage entry. Beyond this more
old masonry with slit windows.
