6/83 White House and wall attached


House. Dated 1728, altered later C18 and early C19. Rendered rubble with pantiled
roof. Brick chimneys. T-plan. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central 1/2-glazed door in C18
chamfered surround. Ground-floor windows are 16-pane sashes in chamfered surrounds.
Smaller 12-pane sashes above. Blocked mullioned window visible to left of door.

Steeply-pitched gabled roof with thin raised coping and reverse-stepped gables. C19
end stacks.

Attached on left return a short stretch of castellated walling with pointed-arched

Interior has old beams, panelled shutters and an C18 staircase with turned balusters.
