II
Corn Mill, late C18 with early C19 additions. Squared tooled stone and dressings;
pantile roof. South elevation 3 storeys, 3 bays, irregular. Left-of-centre
stable door with window on left, 15-pane fixed casement above slatted section.
2 similar windows on right now within C20 greenhouse. Boarded window and 2
16-pane Yorkshire sashes on 1st floor and 3 slatted windows on 2nd. Hipped roof.
Set back to right, lower wheelhouse with opening for head goit and coped right
gable. Right return: wheelhouse shows boarded door and returned gable coping.
Rear elevation: central projecting single-storey wing with similar gable and
boarded door on right return; on right stone steps to boarded 1st floor door;
varied fenestration.
Interior: Iron waterwheel in situ, drive shafts, millstones and various other
fittings.
