7/82 Garden walls to west
of Manor House
GV II
Garden walls on north and south sides of garden. Stone and brick. North wall
perhaps c.1800, coursed rubble with flat coping, western section faced internally
with brick. Central doorway fallen at time of survey. South wall perhaps later
C17, squared stone with remains of brick heightening; at south-east corner walls
abut on surviving quadrant of an earlier circular structure, possibly a dovecote:
wall of large rubble, 1.0 metre thick, one small slit window. Wall returns
north for 3 metres.
