14/48 Low Angerton Bridges,
over River Wansbeck
GV II
Bridges, 1908; South Bridge by The British Concrete Steel Company. Rock-faced
stone with dressings; reinforced concrete (South Bridge); wrought-iron. South
Bridge has segmental arch of 2 curved girders linked by transverse beams;
vertical struts to roadbed. Openwork wrought-iron parapet. Flanking piers
have band and low pyramidal caps; approach walls have band and flat coping,
ramped up at ends.

Flood Bridge 20 metres north; two semicircular arches with rock-faced and margined
voussoirs. Openwork wrought-iron parapet between piers with heavy block caps.
Splayed flat-coped flanking walls.
