Coachman's house, coach-house and cottages. House and adjacent cottage late
C17, second cottage dated 1786 with initials W T (Walter Trevelyan) on lintel;
coach-house C19. House and cottages squared stone with dressings, coach-house
tooled stone with tooled-and-margined dressings; slate roofs. Coach house at
south end of range has arcade of 3 segmental-headed arches; hipped roof. House
2 storeys, 3 narrow bays, symmetrical. Central boarded door with 10-pane
overlight, flanked by 16-pane sash windows; 12-pane sashes to lst floor; all
openings in architraves. Coped gables, stepped end stacks. Cottage to right
1 storey + attic, 3 bays. Central boarded door flanked by 12-pane sashes in
square openings; all with architraves. Above right sash a C19 dormer with
casement window, shaped and pierced bargeboards. Stepped stone right end stack.
Second cottage, to far right, 2 low storeys, 3 bays. Boarded door with 4-pane
overlight in first bay, to right 16-pane sash and barred window; lst floor
central altered Yorkshire sash, flanked by blocked windows. Coped gable to
right. Right return: external stone stair to boarded door in chamfered surround;
projecting right part with similar door and 6-pane casement.
