Threshing barn and granary with attached gingang and stable. 1830-40. Dressed
stone with tooled-and-margined ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roofs. L-plan
with longer 2-storey range of barn and granary to left; it has 2 boarded doors,
one stable-type door and 2 windows on the ground floor; and a pitching door
above. To rear of this range the circular gingang with round ashlar piers and
square capitals. Conical roof.

Projecting to right the single-storey stable with central stable-type door and
flanking half-slatted windows.

Interior of stable: original stalls with passage behind giving access to
feeding troughs; drainage channels in floor. Gingang has original roof with
radiating beams, king post, struts and curved purlins. The threshing machine
from the barn is on show at The Beamish Museum.
