GV II*


Gatepiers, gates and screen walls. Early C18 and early C19. Ashlar and iron.

C18 square piers with shell niches, pulvinated oak-leaf friezes and moulded
cornices. Urn finials on large scrolled bracket bases. The urns have faces
and swags.

Flanking,low, corniced quadrant walls ending in C19 square corniced piers with C19 square corniced piers
pyramidal caps. C19 gates have ramped-down top rail, simple pointed railings
and half railings.
