Boathouse, probably late C18. Brick, rubble,squared tooled stone. Two adjacent
semi-subterranean chambers with brick barrel vaults, opening to the south;
rubble masonry, for picturesque effect, above and between arches. A raised
doorway at the rear of each chamber opens on to a stone stair up to the surface.

May be contemporary with formation of lake in 1783.
