Cross, probably C13. Reputedly Shotton Market Cross, brought to Blagdon in
early C19. Cut sandstone. Low C19 plinth, square base with leaf ornament at
angles; octagonal shaft with roll-moulded angles, broken upper part secured by
iron clamps. Upper part of shaft and head missing. Overall height 2.60 metres.
Unusually elaborate medieval cross, even ex-situ a monument of some importance.
