C18 with later additions especially to roof. 3 storeys. 3 windows. Brick
with stone quoins, lintels and cills. Rubble built at sides and rear. Roof
of small slates with later yellow brick crow step verges. Late glazed sash
windows. Later projecting conservatory porch. Painted quoins to glazed front
door.

The Old Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Railings and archway, Hallbank House and
stable block with the Manor House, Hallgate form a group, the stable block between
the Grammar School and Hallbank House is of local interest.
