Nos 2 and 4

Late C18/early C19. 3 storeys. 3 windows. Stone with rendered front. Slate
roof with brick gable end chimney. Stone lintels, cills and eared architrave
to central doorcase (blocked door). Glazing bar sash windows, wider at sides.
2 attic lights in north gable. C20 shop fronts to left and on return to north
(in Meal Market), former linked to doorway. No 4 has original bow fronted
shop window with glazing bars; linked to doorway on left with traceried fanlight

Nos 1 to 19A (odd) together with Nos 2 to 8 (even) and Nos 16 to 20 (even) and No 4
Meal Market, form a group of which No 1 is of local interest.
