NY 76 SE BARDON MILL MILL HOUSE

8/18 Millhouse Grange

GV II

House, early Cl9, south and west fronts ashlar, east squared stone, north
squared rubble. Hipped grey slate roof, stepped and corniced ashlar stacks.
2 storeys,3 wide bays, symmetrical. Chamfered plinth, bands at sill levels and
below moulded eaves cornice, pilasters at angles. 12-pane sashes, 1st floor right
unaltered. Entrance (west) front 3 bays, similar except for late Cl9 semi-octagonal
porch added to left bay with heavy moulded string stepped over its windows and
door. Later C19 north wing.
