13/63 Congregational Chapel


Congregational Chapel, dated 1863 in pediment. Squared stone, rusticated quoins,
slate roof with ornamental ridge, coped gables with moulded kneelers. 1 tall
storey. Central panelled doors under pointed arch with hoodmould, flanked by 12-
pane sashes under pointed arches with hoodmoulds. Pedimented gable holds small
sunk quatrefoil and raised tablet inscribed 'CONGREGATIONAL CHAPEL' with date.
Left return has 3 windows with pointed arches and rusticated surrounds; lower
addition to left has 12-pane sash and door in rusticated surrounds, ornamental
ridge, corniced ashlar stack heightened in brick. Right return has 3 similar
